Now in his own studio, an atmosphere where he and his clients are comfortable, Kevin's tattoo art comes alive. Though his works range from standard designs to the abstract, animals are his favorites. "There is a sense of accomplishment - and a secret - to bringing an animal to life on skin."
As an artist, however, he knows there is more to tattooing than just creating artistic works on human canvas. Equally important is the need to work with the client to achieve the right result. This can involve simply helping the customer choose the right exsisting design, or it can mean something more complicated. It is not unusual, for Kevin to create an original artwork on paper based on a client's descriptions - and then re-work the original until both he and the client are completely satisified before re-creating in on the final canvas of the customers body.
